The back of the plate is marked in gold:                Lenox   Made in U.S.A.   Special The front of the plate around the border reads:                September 18, 1984  *  Governor's Golf Tournament  *  Spring Meadow Golf Course                                                        Second Place  The center of the plate reads:   From the Mountains to the Shore          Inside the center green stripe is the shape of the state of New Jersey with the words Parks '84 Just to mention, there seems to be some smudging of the gold on the back of plate, that may have occurred during the manufacturing process.
