Taken from the WWW.These "In Store" Premiums were part of a series of 24 paper Premiums issued in 1939 with the title "Diamond Stars Gum" on the back. The Goudey Gum Company had bought the "Diamond Stars" trademark and other assets when National Chicle went bankrupt in 1937. These Premiums are larger (4-3/4" x 7-5/16") than the R303-A premiums (4" x 6-3/16"), but the Photos are identical to the first 24 photos from the R303-A premiums. These Premiums can be found in both black-and-white and sepia-toned. These "HOW TO" cards were only made for a very short time... I do not know if this sepia-toned falls under cards or if 'premium' is all its called... Condition is good with very tiny dog ears at the corners... really small but present... no other creases or tears... Please see my other auctions for more sports items from one private collection.
