I have been collecting championship rings and pendants for quite some time and this is the one and only 1969 National Championship Longhorn football pendant I have ever seen. Considered by many to be one of the greatest college teams of all time, the 1969 Longhorns finished the season ranked # 1 with a perfect 11-0 capped by a 21-17 win over Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl. Led by legandary coach Darrell Royal, Texas outscored it's opponents by a whopping margin of 435-119! What makes this pendant so unique is the inscription engraved on the back from Coach Royal himself. The pendant was made by John Roberts, a leading ring manufacturer in the 1970's. John Roberts also made the 1969 championship rings for players and staff.  The company's "JR" trademark is stamped on the top of the back of the pendant along with the 10k gold mark.
