Numbered in a limited series of 500, the 14kt yellow gold content and diamond assures the value and collectibility of this jewelry. There is a total of 18 charms which makes this a full and complete set as making the 14kt gold pins started back in 1991. The silver-looking charm on the bracelet by itself is white gold. That was issued back in 1997 - the year that the Derby Festival celebrated their 25th anniversary. The rest are yellow gold. I would wear the current years' charm on a chain and when the Derby was over, I would transfer the charm to a bracelet. As you can see, the one bracelet is full and I need to purchase another bracelet to continue but I have become uninterested and in hopes someone else would continue. If the buyer is interested, I could continue to purchase the pins/charms each year and sell back to the buyer - or I can actually contact the jeweler and transfer the number into the new owners name and the jeweler will send you a notice each year when the pin/charm is available. Then you order directly from the jeweler. The cost of the pin/charms are $400.00 each. That cost times the 18 charms comes to $7,200.00, plus there is 2 bracelets.
